Safeguard and swim is a traveling private swim school that services, Ventura and LA Metro Area. Safeguard and swim was founded by Trever Bamber in 2024. In the summer of 2019 Trever went to a Job fair and while he was walking around, a swim school asked him to come over to their booth. He had been offered a position at a local swim school in 2019 as a lifeguard. While Trever was lifeguarding he got offered to teach swim as well. He found a love for teaching swim and lifeguarding during this time. In 2020 After a year working for the local swim school, Trever moved on to private lifeguard and private swim instruction. After 4 years of working privately Trever went back to working for a known swim school, for a couple months. Trever then realized that he wanted to start his own company and created Safeguard and swim in the summer of 2024. His vision was to open a swim school that offers swim lessons all year round, is flexible, and offers a guaranteed swim curriculum to teach you or your child how to swim. Drowning is the number one cause of death in children and teens under the age of 14, we want to change that statistic.
